Introduction
This authentic holiday home is known under the name trullo - a typical house in the Puglia region with a unique building style shaped like a cone. These 'trulli' have been built with traditional methods from the year 700 and consist of stones without cement. This trullo is located in Valle d'Itria, near Ostuni. The region belongs to the Unesco World Heritage sites.
This trullo (55m2, ground floor), is decorated with tradition and comfort. This is an authentic and fascinating holiday home to spend your holidays. The trulli were used by farmers in the past to relax after working on the fields, because the trulli provide natural coolness held inside by the stone exterior. The trullo is located on a small hill and dominates the region and the forest. A trullo is a perfect holiday home for relaxing in nature. This residence, where there is another trullo and another holiday home, offers also a traditional wood oven, ping pong and a hammock.
The trullo is also the ideal starting place to discover the Puglia region and to visit for example Martina Franca (7km), Ostuni (13km) and Alberobello (22km) with a trulli museum. You could also visit the archaeological digs in Egnazia or the historical centre of Lecce. And the sea is only 20km away, with a sandy beach near Torre Canne.
