Introduction

The holiday area Bro is a characteristic old Danish town with its original street system and old beautiful half-timbered houses. The holiday area Bro Strand is situated in scenic surroundings between beach, forest and fields. Furthermore, you will find the cosy marina 'Varbjerg Havn' here. It is possible to rent bicycles in the area of Bro and follow one of the many bicycle routes, which lead you through the lovely nature of the vicinity and past many sights.Golf players have more courses to choose between nearby. It is possible to buy groceries in Bro, or you can visit the charming marked town Bogense,(14 km) where you will find good shopping possibilities and many restaurants. The fishing opportunities are good along the shore, in the Put & Take fishponds of the area as well as on the sea, in a rented boat or onboard the ship 'Castor', which departs from the harbour in Bogense. From here you can also go on a day trip to the islands Endelave, Tunø and Samsø. As on most beaches in northern Funen, the beach by Bro Strand has coarse sand and stones by the waters edge. The beach is very suitable for children, as the water is shallow and calm.
