Introduction

This distinctive holiday home is at about 200 m from the beautiful Sicilian coast. Formerly a railway keeper’s lodge, it has recently been restored in modern style. The property is across two floors and boasts a mansard roof. It is very comfortable and has been furnished in a cosy, rural style, with a mini-bar in each bedroom. The colour-scheme is warm and Mediterranean-looking. The house comfortably sleeps 4 (and can even sleep an extra guests: 30 euro/pers./night). Extra beds are obtainable on request. There is a private garden for guest use, the property being surrounded by 2000 m² of land. Only 200 meters away is a unique rock formation known as the "Scala dei Turchi" (Turkish steps), leading down to the sea. In this house there are 5 bedrooms, where only 3 used, in this case. The bedrooms which are not used will be closed by the owner. The local area abounds with culture and folklore. There is the “Sagra del Mandorlo” (Almond Tree Festival) in Fiore nella Valle dei Templi, festivities in honour of Saint Calogero, the feast day of Madonna del Carmine and many more events besides. Porto Empedocle is 4 km away and Agrigento, 7 km away. In the town of Sciacca there are countless opportunities to enjoy oneself and learn about local culture. The very kind owner will supply you with any extra information you should require to make the very most of your stay. This holiday home is ideal for several families or groups of friends wishing to enjoy Sicily’s wonderful sea and climate, (where you can even swim in the sea in November). It is the perfect base for visiting the Sicily and all the beauty it has in store.
